Today is my son Brian's 28th birthday! Brian I wish I could see you today to celebrate with you. One of these years I will make it out to you to share your birthday with you!!!
This picture was taken in January 1984 in a studio in San Francisco. I don't remember the name of the little girl. This was a photo shoot for a Mervyn's baby sale flyer that came out in the mail. They never actually used this picture in the ad. It was decided that having a ladder in the picture made it seem too dangerous for little kids. I remember it was impossible to get Brian and the little girl to smile. She was unhappy and had been crying. Brian never cried, he just wasn't very cheerful. Can you guess what the advertisers were promoting in this picture?
